I made banana bread today!
And in the meantime I made good progress on my Kalajoki sock #2!
I'm all set up for gusset decreases. :-)
One hilarious mistake I consistently make in knitting socks is jumping the gun on picking up the gusset stitches before I even turn the heel. So I go straight from the 2.5" heel flap to picking up stitches for the gusset to the gusset decreases. Which means I have WAY TOO MANY stitches around the heel. Now, I did this for my mom's mother's day socks, and the results weren't TOO disastrous. The heels were a tad baggy, but not horribly so.
Luckily, I didn't do that on these socks :-) I almost did, but I caught myself. *so proud*
So I have gusset decreases and banana bread to look forward to tomorrow :D
Until then, happy knitting!
